H.E. KHANKEO LAMANINGAO

Khankeo Lamaningao is a distinguished financial expert currently serving as the Deputy Governor of the Bank of the Lao PDR (BOL). With a remarkable career spanning over three decades in the financial sector, she has consistently demonstrated exceptional leadership and expertise. Khankeo LAMANINGAO’s career path at the central bank began in 1992.

Over the years, she has held the pivotal positions including the Head of Statistical Division of the Monetary Policy Department, Deputy Director General of the Monetary Policy Department, Vice Chair of the Capital Market Establishment Committee. Her profound insights into the financial sector led her to the role of Deputy Director General of the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) Office. 

In recognition of her exceptional acumen, Khankeo LAMANINGAO was appointed as the Director General of the Finance and Accounting Department in February 2010. Her strategic oversight extended to the Lao Securities Exchange, where she serves as an Internal Auditor. Notably, she assumed the position of Director General of the Monetary Policy Department in June 2021, where her strategic vision and policy expertise play a significant role in driving the country’s economy. 

With an impressive academic background, Deputy Governor Khankeo LAMANINGAO holds a Master of Science in Economics with a specialization in Finance and Credit from Saint Petersburg State University of Economics, Russia. She further enriched her knowledge with a Master’s Degree in Business Administration from Thammasat University, Thailand, and a Postgraduate Diploma in Development Studies from the Institute of Developing Economies, Japan.
