DR. SOON YOUNG CHOI

Soon Young Choi is a Research Fellow at the Korea Capital Market Institute (KMCI). He covers the financial services industry with particular interests in global investment banks and Korean securities companies.

He works closely with the Korean Financial Services Commission, Financial Supervisory Services and the Ministry of Economy and Finance, performing projects on various areas related to the financial markets, including the development of Korea’s ESG market infrastructure. His previous work affiliations include Samsung Research Institute of Finance, SK Research Institute, and McKinsey and Company.

Choi received his BA and Ph.D. from The University of Chicago, Department of Economics.
